Private Equity firms represented the acquirer in 27% of the transactions in the first three months of 2025, up from 21% in the same period the prior year, showing increased PE interest in this space.

During the first three months of 2025, disclosed deal values totaled $600M as only 15% of transactions announced financial terms as buyers preferred to keep their M&A strategies private. The median disclosed M&A deal size was $9M.
